When we talk about days and hours in this context, we are again trying to *tune* into the energies that are all around us. Just as the phases of the moon have certain qualities of energy to them, so do the days of the week, and to even break it down further the hours.

Contrary to belief, the day starts at sunrise. Not from midnight to midnight, but sunrise to sunrise. Sunrise's enhance the work of new beginnings. Such as a new project, job, wish, or goal. This time is also good for meditation and prayer (invocation). To watch such brilliant colors come up from the horizon is nothing short of inspiring.

Now, if we take this one step further into hours we can see a pattern emerge. For an example I will start the hours for Monday. To figure out the other days, all you have to do is start the 1 hour with the corresponding day's relation. Tuesday would start the 1 hour with Mars, Wednesday with Mercury and so on. The relations are listed above corresponding to the days of the week.

You can see with hour 8 that a pattern is emerging. For Tuesday you would start the 1 hour with Mars, 2 hour would be Sun, and so on until you reach the 24 hour.

I, for prayer purposes, start my 1 hour with the sunrise predicted by my local weatherman. On newscasts they will predict and broadcast when sunrise for your local area will be. Or there are many weather sites across the web that you can derive the same information. The sunrise would be your 1 hour.

Example: If I start making a candle on a Monday (for Protection, see above keywords), I would reinforce it by starting the process at the 8th hour. Once you get used to the aspects of it all, it gets easier. Honest.
